  1. Any ideas about the mechanism by which they plan to split so-called 'criminal matters' off 'constitutional matters' - which was what the Privy Coucil is about?

We at Jumbies Watch have been watching this issue like hawks.. needless to say we are deeply concerned though not against the CCJ replacing the Privy Concil. http://www.jumbieswatch.com/2012/05/prematurely-independent-and-profoundly.html

    1. They go hand in hand, so I fail to see how this can be separated.

Ramlogan is not a Lawyer... he doesn't know ANYTHING about the law.

    1. Civil Court. The police have absolutely nothing to do with that unless there are threats of violence or actual violence.

  8. hi can you inform me of any judgments dealing with refusing lawful instructions from your employer , also what is lawful and reasonable instructions.

    1. "Lawful" is clear. "Reasonable" is dependent on many aspects, from the type of job, the employee's position, etc. It's impossible to broadly define "reasonable" in terms of employment law.

  10. what does "throwing out" of a case actually mean. If a summons has an incorrect name of either party can it be "thrown out"

  13. I am desperately seeking a divorce. My husband was very abusive to me, especially emotionally and mentally. I now suffer with depression, anxiety, insomnia bipolar, a and self loathing. Instead of helping me to get well, he will oppress me. I was hospitalized and spent a couple months. He only came and see me once. I was out for a brief moment, and then hospitalized again in Saint Ann's institute for being suicidal. He NEVER came and see me there!!! When I was discharged I went at my parents. I have not been living with my estranged husband for three and a half years. He does not support me in any form. I don't want anything from him, like money, maintenance etc. All I want is a divorce!!! I have asked him on several occasions but he refuses to comply. We have not been intimate for four years, and I have absolutely no intentions of being intimate with him ever again. I have no affection for this person period!!!! Please what are the requirements for me to get a clean, swift, divorce!!??

  14. I know someone who has several young children, with various fathers. All fathers are not involved in their child life, and the mother is extremely negligent to her children. She would be sexually involved with whomever in front her kids. She smokes illegal drugs in front the kids. She is very very abusive to her children, physically, emotionally, mentally verbally. She encourages CRIMINAL ELEMENTS to be at her home. The house is extremely dilapidated and is unfit even for an animal to live in it. I personally have spoken to this person, I even helped her for several years. But I fear that she enjoys this promiscuous lifestyle of negativity. Not caring how it affects her children!!!! How can these kids be safed?

  21. Good day, I am currently in a civil matter with my son's father where he is the applicant for custody. He later change his application to access, however he has been a dead beat dad for years and has been paying maintenance through the court. I am currently in the process of migrating with my family, since my fiance lives abroad. The summons came five years after my son's birth and during my gestion period with my second son so I am of the assumption that he applied for access as a means to gain control and restrict my mobility. Our appearance in court seems to be going in his favor esp. since he successfully painted an image of a desperate dad and i appear as the aggressor. Could you kindly advise on what can be done since I feel very trapped and somewhat overwhelmed.

    1. The courts wouldn't deny him access; dead-beat or not.
