Th...I paid an attorney to do a deed of gift for me. The original deed was also a gift where the donor gifted it to herself along with 3 other persons. All parties agreed to gift it to me however, the attorney only did the gift to me from 3 out of the four person. Because i dont know much about that, i went ahead and applied for a mortgage to do some construction. I paid for a valuation report of the property and also a clearance certificate. Totalling 4000 and valid for 3 months. Approximately 2 months after applying for the mortgage another attorney calls and informs me of the issue at hand and that a rectification needs to be done before i can get the money. Now i am contacting the original attorney and i am getting a run around. Mind you, if it goes over 3 months i have to reapply for a valuation and clearance certificate.
